Tareq Al Jaber is currently working as Assistant Professor in computer science at the School of Computer Science & DAIM, University of Hull.

As a Assistant Professor, I am leading various modules (Fundamentals of Data Science Level-7, Big Data and Data Mining Level-7). Before this, I worked as programme leader and lecturer in several universities for the last 13 years. My main teaching modules at the University of Hull are related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and Data Science in DAIM.

I have taught over 2,000 hours at the MSc level, covering various modules in Computer Science, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, over the past 13 years. Additionally, I have taught over 1,000 hours at the BSc level in the same subjects and duration.

In terms of supervision, I have supervised more than 300 MSc dissertation projects across diverse topics within Computer Science, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence in the last 10 years. Furthermore, I have supervised over 200 BSc dissertation projects in these subjects during the same period.

My research interests lie in Data Science, Machine Learning, Safety Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and various aspects of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Specifically, I focus on User Experience, Software Evaluation, Heuristic Evaluation, Usability Evaluation, and Mobile Health Education Applications. Additionally, I am deeply interested in the areas of Pedagogy and Digital Health.

After completing MSc in .NET Distributed Systems Development, he went on to complete a PhD in Computer Science (An evaluation framework and selection tool for education apps usability, with a case study from health education apps).
