Sushma Kumari specialises in SMEs' supply chain management, food supply chain management, knowledge management and general operations management areas.

She has previously worked on interdisciplinary projects funded by the European Commission's 7th Framework Programme (FP7), the British Academy, and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).

Sushma has also had seven articles published in internationally-distinguished journals.
