Summary

Leonie is a lecturer within the Adult Nursing Team at the University of Hull. She also serves as the Programme Director for the University Certificate in Health and Social Care Practice (Alternative Route).

Leonie's teaching portfolio spans a variety of programmes, including the University Certificate for Health and Social Care, BSc Nursing Programmes, BSc & MSc Midwifery, and BSc Paramedic Science. She leads modules such as Promoting Health and Preventing Ill Health (BSc Nursing) and Introduction to Health and Social Care Practice (University Certificate Programme).

With a strong passion for public health, Leonie is committed to improving health outcomes for individuals and families. She is a qualified Community Practitioner Nurse Prescriber and has extensive experience in supporting and assessing students in practice. Recently, she completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Practice Education

Leonie has recently completed the Post Graduate Certificate -Practice Educator programme in January 2024 and working towards her fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Leonie joined the University in April 2023, before this, she practised as a midwife, then a Health Visitor

Leonie teaches and supports students on several modules throughout the faculty of health, these include the University Certificate in Health & Social Care, the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA) and the BSc Nursing programme. Leonie is a Registered Midwife and has taught students on both the BSc and MSc Midwifery programmes
