Summary
I am a registered Nursing Associate currently working for the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Hull. As a portfolio tutor my role is specifically aligned to the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship programme to support and coach apprentices to develop and evidence the knowledge skills and professional behaviours required for EPA.
Additionally, to keep my own professional development up to date I regularly work on the bank as a RNA within primary care. I am passionate about my role within primary care and have great satisfaction by empowering patients to make positive changes to their health and wellbeing. My current skill set includes immunisation & vaccinations (paediatric & adults), Respiratory reviews (Asthma & COPD trained), Women’s health (Cytology, Swabs, contraception & LARC advice) drug injections, hypertension management, initial diabetic reviews, ECG, Venepuncture & basic health checks provided by the NHS.
