About Jaime Day
Jaime has worked at the University since 2021. She is currently the module leader for Developing Professional Practice for Nursing Associates.
In addition, Jaime is the academic link for Hull Royal Infirmary, ensuring that the audits are completed to maintain practice standards for student placements.
Jaime is the admissions tutor for Adult Nursing and is responsible for shortlisting and co-ordinating the interviews for the adult nursing applicants.
Jaime began her career as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2009 after completing her nurse training at The University of Hull. In 2013 she completed the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (health visitor) training. During her time as a health visitor she was the infant feeding link for her practice area, assisting the team to achieve the Unicef Baby Friendly Initiative Gold Award.
Before becoming a lecturer in nursing Jaime was a Practice Education Facilitator, working with International Nurses.
She is a V100 Nurse prescriber, a practice assessor and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
