Summary

Jaime has worked at the University since 2021. She is currently module leader for the Introduction to Health & Social Care module within the University Certificate Programme and also module leader for Developing Professional Practice for Nursing Associates.

In addition, Jaime is the academic link for Hull Royal Hospital and is joint admissions lead for Adult Nursing.

Jaime began her career as a Registered Adult Nurse in 2009 after completing her nurse training at The University of Hull. In 2013 she completed the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (health visitor) training. During her time as a health visitor she was the infant feeding link for her practice area, assisting the team to achieve the Unicef Baby Friendly Initiative Gold Award.

Before becoming a lecturer in nursing Jaime was a Practice Education Facilitator, working with International Nurses.

She is a V100 Nurse prescriber, a practice assessor and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Jaime completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in January 2023 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Jaime teaches and supervises students on many different modules within the University Certificate, the Nursing Associate Programme and the BSc Nursing.
