Dr Daniel Farrow

Daniel completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Durham University, graduating first with an M.Phys and then with a Ph.D in the field of astronomy. In 2025 he obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Hull.

He spent around 8 years in Germany as a postdoctoral researcher studying cosmology, galaxy surveys and the large scale structure of the Universe. He has authored or co-authored over 50 publications in the field of astrophysics. He supervises two astronomy PhD students. More recently, he co-authored his first paper in the field of data science and healthcare.

He is a Lecturer and Programme Director at the Centre of Excellence for Data Science, AI and Modelling at the University of Hull.
