Summary

Claire works as an archivist at the University of Hull. In her role, she is responsible for the care of, and provision of access to, Hull University Archive collections held at Hull History Centre. She is also responsible for the development and delivery of learning and teaching sessions and resources to support the development of archival research skills.

Her collections expertise are in early modern quarter sessions records, 20th century Labour history, Christian maritime missions, and 19th-20th century political campaigning. She has previously worked as a project archivist for Hull City Archives, Lincolnshire Archives, Hertfordshire Record Office, and Somerset Record Office.

Claire delivers archival skills sessions to undergraduates and taught postgraduates at the request of course and module leaders, and teaches on the Modern Researcher 1 postgraduate module. She also supports independent learning of archival skills through the development of online skills resources.
