About the Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships

The University of Hull is committed to supporting outstanding researchers applying for the Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships. These prestigious fellowships accelerate the careers of exceptional postdoctoral researchers by offering advanced training and international, inter‑sectoral, and interdisciplinary mobility.

Our approach is strategic and collaborative. We seek to attract globally competitive proposals that align with the expertise of University of Hull researchers working within established, world‑leading groups and clusters.

Supervisors from a wide range of disciplines have confirmed their interest in hosting high‑quality candidates whose research aligns with both their own specialisms and the University’s commitment to delivering societal impact—particularly in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Why choose Hull?

MSCA Fellows at the University of Hull become part of a vibrant, internationally connected research community. Fellows benefit from:

  • Close supervision and mentoring by experienced academics
  • Access to global research networks
  • Alignment with high-impact research themes
  • Opportunities leading to joint publications, policy engagement, and career-defining collaborations

Who should apply?

We welcome expressions of interest from researchers with no more than eight years of post‑PhD experience, including recent graduates who can demonstrate independent or semi‑independent research activity (such as outputs beyond the PhD, publications, or funding applications). All applications must comply with the mobility requirements of the MSCA scheme. Further information can be found here.

Please be aware that the University of Hull supports applications for the MSCA European Postdoctoral Fellowships only.

Applicants should be prepared for a highly competitive and detailed application process.
