About the Centre for Performance, Technology and Aesthetics

The Centre for Performance, Technology and Aesthetics creates new work that engages with audiences in the region and beyond, and takes risks in order to explore new working practices. We think critically about the role of technology in the production and consumption of the arts.

Central themes in our work include Practice as Research (research-driven practice that deploys modes of critical enquiry), and Critical Studies in Technology (including the historical analysis of technologies and their development within particular disciplines).
