About the Centre for European Governance
The Centre for European Governance (CEG)'s impactful research covers themes including:
- Environment and energy policies and politics
- Socio-economic policies (growth, inequality, ageing populations, immigration)
- Comparative regionalism & regional disparity (EU-Mercosur/Latin American relations)
- Rule of law and democracy (supranational citizenship, Brexit and populism)
The CEG aims to:
- Promote academic excellence in research, publications and education on European Union and comparative European governance issues
- Generate and disseminate impactful research findings
- Engage with practitioners and co-produce research with practitioners and end users
- Publish innovative research findings in leading, high impact journals and with internationally renowned publishers
- Provide a forum for researchers and postgraduate research students for presenting and discussing novel research findings
The Centre for European Governance fosters multi- and interdisciplinary research with the aim of contributing to joint grant applications, research projects, publications, impact case studies, knowledge exchange and the creation of research student clusters. CEG is strongly outward looking and fosters research collaborations with researchers across the University of Hull, in other UK universities and abroad.
