About the Centre for Conservatism

The University has a record of high-quality research in politics on various aspects of conservatism that goes back many decades.

The Centre for Conservatism builds on this heritage, by:

  • Developing high-quality academic publications
  • Applying for external funding for research activity and for Knowledge Exchange and Impact activity
  • Curating, maintaining, and promoting work already done in the field of political conservatism at the University of Hull
  • Maintaining our British and international Academic Network
  • Developing Postgraduate and Early-Career Researchers
  • Contributing to student recruitment and enriching and co-ordinating the School’s teaching on conservative and right-of-centre politics and related topics.
