About the Centre for Applied Research in the Arts

The Centre for Applied Research in the Arts (CARA) is based in the School of the Arts at the University of Hull. It features researchers in Drama, Music and Screen, often working in collaboration with colleagues across the University and beyond.

There are three main areas of research:

  1. Arts and the Environment
  2. Arts, Health and Wellbeing
  3. Arts and Education

Much of the research in CARA impacts the wider community, bringing about change or benefit to the economy, society, culture, public policy, public services or quality of life.
