University of Hull spin-out on track for business award

The Railwhere and Lampada Digital Solutions team is one of four competing for the prestigious Team of the Year award.

Railwhere, a spin-out from the University’s Logistics Institute, offers award-winning technology and expertise to rail freight businesses, helping them to deliver more goods at lower cost and with reduced emissions.

The company’s state-of-the-art software was developed by the Logistics Institute and University of Hull subsidiary Lampda Digital Solutions, in partnership with Network Rail and Freightliner.

Welcoming the announcement Railwhere Director Barrie Louw said: “This is a hugely exciting time for a transformative new business. In May we launched as a stand-alone company and in September our innovation and talent was recognised in the Rail Freight Group Awards. These achievements are entirely down to the commitment and brilliance of an exceptional team.
