Hull University Business School retains accountancy accreditation to fast-track professional qualification
Hull University Business School (HUBS) has successfully retained full Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) accreditation.
ACCA accreditation ensures HUBS programmes remain internationally competitive and attractive to employers across the finance, accounting, and auditing sectors.
Additionally, students pursuing Chartered Certified Accountant status through ACCA benefit from exam exemptions, fast-tracking their journey to a professional qualification.
Dr Hadiza Sa’id, Head of Subject for Accounting, Finance and Economics, said: “Regaining the maximum ACCA exemptions is a testament to the intellectual rigour of our programmes and our commitment to giving students the best possible start in their careers through real-world relevance.
“Exam exemption offers students a significant advantage, with fewer exams and less cost. This isn’t just an institutional win; it’s a life-changing opportunity for our students across the world to accelerate their professional journey with confidence, significantly boosting employability and global career opportunities.”
"This milestone highlights the strength of our teaching and curriculum design, the hard work of colleagues across the business school, and the ongoing commitment to supporting student success locally and globally.”Dr Hadiza Sa’id

ACCA is one of the world’s leading professional accounting bodies, with global recognition in over 180 countries. The accreditation has been secured until 2030, covering HUBS Accounting, Accounting and Financial Management, and Financial Management undergraduate programmes.
This recognition comes on the back of the recent AMBA reaccreditation, and the news of the recent partnership with CTBU - a powerful affirmation of HUBS dedication to delivering high quality, professionally relevant education - empowering our students to thrive and lead in the dynamic world of accounting and finance.
Dr Sa’id said: “I am immensely proud of the dedication and hard work by all colleagues in developing and delivering programmes that meet the rigorous standards required for full ACCA accreditation. This milestone highlights the strength of our teaching and curriculum design, the hard work of colleagues across the business school, and the ongoing commitment to supporting student success locally and globally.”
The reaccreditation will benefit student cohorts graduating between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2030. Moving forward, HUBS will continue to monitor and support our students’ performance, ensuring we maintain the high standards expected by ACCA.
