What is the conference for?

We’re delighted to welcome you to the 2027 Teachers and Advisers Conference at the University of Hull.

Our work with schools and colleges is built on strong partnerships, shared insight, and a collective commitment to supporting students as they explore their future pathways. This conference is an opportunity to come together, share experiences and explore the evolving higher education landscape.

We hope the day provides valuable updates, practical ideas, and meaningful connections with colleagues from across the sector - as well as the chance to experience our campus and see a little of what Hull has to offer.

Don’t miss-out on your opportunity to attend our Teachers and Advisors Conference. Reserve your place today and receive priority access to conference workshop bookings when the full programme is released in early 2027.

Top reasons to attend:

  • Enjoy a ‘university taster’ experience and avoid the early morning rush - arrive on Wednesday 19 May to enjoy a complimentary evening meal, entertainment and overnight stay within our student accommodation
  • We’ve got you covered – the travel grant is available again in 2027 which provides a considerable contribution towards your travel expenses
  • Arrive with an understanding, leave feeling informed and inspired - learn from and participate in valuable CPD sessions as well as an insight into the university and Hull as a city for graduate prospects
  • Pick our brains - network with university subject academics and support staff for the benefit of your students

Don’t believe us? Hear what some of our guests said in 2026:

“This was my first visit to the University of Hull, the staff and facilities were excellent and all really friendly, I enjoyed the whole day and would encourage others to attend these events in future.”
“I found it both enjoyable and professionally enriching.”
“I learnt so much about the University, and Hull that I can pass on to students. I will advise them it’s worth a visit, it’s like a city and campus uni combined offering the best way of both.”

Networking opportunities with university staff and fellow conference attendees will be available throughout the day, providing a chance to broaden your range of contacts and future potential engagement activities. A complimentary lunch and refreshments will also be available on arrival and throughout the duration of the conference.

Worried about costs?

We recognise that travel and accommodation costs can be a barrier to attending events.

To ensure the day is as accessible as possible, we are pleased to offer a contribution towards the costs of your visit to campus. Mirroring the approach used in our student travel grant scheme, which helps prospective students attend events at the University of

Hull, support is available in the form of a cash grant in line with the following bands:

  • 40–79 miles: £25 contribution
  • 80–149 miles: £50 contribution
  • 150+ miles: £100 contribution

We hope this ensures that attending the conference does not place additional pressure on school or college budgets.

Places are limited to ensure the day remains collaborative and interactive, so we encourage early booking. By registering, you are reserving a place at the conference. Further details, including workshop choices, dietary requirements and accessibility requirements, will be collected early 2027.
