Human Rights in the Gig Economy and the Courier Sector

By 2025, an estimated 43 million people across the EU will be working through digital labour platforms.
Over 26 million of these will be classified as self-employed. Cristina will explore the risks associated with the gig economy and courier services, and provide an update on how this rapidly growing sector could be better regulated in the future.
Cristina Talens has over 20 years’ experience in ethical trading, sustainability and supply chains. She now conducts risk assessments for major UK supermarkets and supports compliance with the Modern Slavery Act
