How many university Open Days should I go to?

Most students attend 3 to 5 university Open Days, but the right number depends on how many courses and universities you’re seriously considering. Attending more than one Open Day can help you compare campuses, teaching styles and student life so you can make a confident decision.

It’s useful to visit:

• At least one Open Day for every university on your shortlist
• A second visit (Open Day or offer-holder day) for universities you’re strongly considering
• Virtual Open Days if you can’t travel or want to explore extra options quickly

Overall, aim to attend enough events to feel informed and comfortable with your choices before submitting your UCAS application.
