I have a disability. Will I get any extra funding?
When you’re completing your student finance application, you’ll be asked whether you have a disability and prompted to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). DSA can help meet extra course costs students face as a direct result of a disability, long-term medical condition, or specific learning difficulty.
It’s aimed at helping you to study on an equal basis with other students. In most cases, you won’t receive this funding yourself. It’ll be paid to a supplier or a provider of equipment or services that you need.
