Does my place at university need to be confirmed before I apply for student finance?

If you’ve already applied for your student finance and been assessed, you’ll get your first Maintenance Loan payment 3-5 days after you enrol at university.

If you applied late, your first payment may be late. But the University will offer you a short-term loan to help you at the beginning of the academic year.
