Can I get student finance if I've studied before?

Possibly. Whether you're eligible for student finance after previous study depends on the course you've already completed and the course you'd like to study.

I've already completed a degree

In most cases, you won't be eligible for another tuition fee loan if you've already completed a degree. However, there are exceptions for some healthcare courses including Nursing, Midwifery, Operating Department Practice, and Physiotherapy (not Paramedic Science).

If you’ve started a degree but not finished it, you may still be able to take out funding, depending on how long you studied for. If it was for a year or less, you’ll still be able to take out full student finance. But if it was for any longer, please seek advice.

I started a degree but didn't finish

You may still be eligible for student finance if you previously withdrew from a course. The amount of funding available depends on how long you studied and your individual circumstances.
