What will I study on a foundation year?
The modules you study on a foundation year depend on your chosen degree pathway. You will complete a mix of subject-specific and academic skills modules designed to prepare you for university study and progression to year one of your degree.
You will be taught and assessed by members of the Foundation Year Team and subject academics. Shared modules, such as Preparing for Learning in Higher Education, develop skills including academic writing, referencing, research and reflection, often using topics linked to your chosen subject.
You will also have a personal tutor from the Foundation Year Team who can support your progress and direct you to additional university services.
