What qualifications does Hull accept?

The University of Hull welcomes applications from students with a broad spectrum of UK and international qualifications. Whether you're studying A Levels, BTECs, the International Baccalaureate, Scottish Highers, or vocational and technical awards, Hull considers a wide variety of academic backgrounds.

We also recognise qualifications such as:

  • Cambridge Pre-U
  • Welsh Baccalaureate
  • Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
  • Music grades (ABRSM Grades 6–8)
  • AAT Accounting and LIBF (IFS) Diploma in Financial Studies

If your qualifications aren’t listed or you’re unsure about your eligibility, we encourage you to get in touch. We assess applications individually and may offer alternative routes, such as a foundation year, to help you progress to your chosen degree.
