Film and Media is part of the School of The Arts, which sits in the Faculty of Arts, Cultures and Education. COURSES Our film studies courses combine theory with the practical side of film-making. If media studies is more your thing, you can master your creative production skills while exporting the relationship between media and society. Foundation year Gives you the skills and knowledge for entry on to a degree if you don’t quite meet the academic entry requirements. Undergraduate Film Studies Ideal for those passionate about film, and want to develop a deeper understanding of its history and culture, alongside practical filmmaking experience. Creative Writing and Film Studies Develop your skills in writing and experimenting in different genres. You'll also look at film as art, history, culture, entertainment and commerce. Media Production Gain the creative skills, technical expertise and industry insight that will help you become a work-ready professional. Media Studies Master creative production skills and critically explore the economic, cultural and historical relationship between media and society.
