ACCREDITATION

Status update: professional

You’ll be on the fast track to chartered IT professional because several of our programmes are professionally accredited. Computer Science, Software Engineering and Games Programming degrees have been accredited to the maximum available level by the British Computer Society (BCS),3 and all our students can join the BCS under our academic membership scheme.4

The BSc degree meets the academic requirements for full Chartered IT Professional and partial Chartered Engineer status. And our MEng degrees fully meet the requirements for both Chartered IT Professional and Chartered Engineer status.

EXTRACURRICULAR

Game on

Get involved in extracurricular opportunities, from hackathons to networking events with employers. Compete in international events such as Global Game Jam, NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge and the Microsoft Imagine Cup. Join the Hull Computer Science, Gaming, FreeSide and Robotics Societies and take part in events such as specialist programming tutorials and social activities.

And rise to the challenge of creating a computer game over a weekend, working as part of a team in our Three Thing Game.
