Dr Elke Roediger leads the galaxy cluster group in the E.A. Milne Centre for Astrophysics. Her research combines numerical simulations with observations in international collaborations.

Elke joined the University of Hull in September 2015. She studied physics and astrophysics at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel and the University of Glasgow.

In 2005, she was awarded a PhD in astrophysics by the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. Since then Elke has held positions as a postdoctoral researcher at the Jacobs University Bremen and the Hamburg University Observatory, and as Visiting Scientist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
