Get hands-on experience
Gain a deep understanding of the human form and function in health and disease on our Biomedical Science degree. We’re one of the few campuses in the UK with a pre-clinical imaging unit, which links biomedical science with chemistry and medicine.
Develop practical experience of crime scene investigation in our newly developed Crime Scene Training Facility and analyse evidence in the laboratory as a Forensic Science student.

Our state-of-the-art PET Research facility uses medical imaging technology for research and early diagnosis of diseases.

Crime Scene Training Facility
Our Forensic Science students learn how to collect and preserve evidence in our on-campus replica Crime Scene Training Facility.

Our strong links with industry give you plenty of opportunities to refine the key skills demanded by employers. Biomedical Science students benefit from our excellent relationships with local biotechnology companies, research units and hospitals including the Queen's Centre for Oncology and Haematology at Hull's Castle Hill Hospital. Forensic Science students can tap into our strong links with Humberside Police, and hear from a range of expert guest speakers too.

Our Biomedical Science course is designed in collaboration Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. With major input from NHS professionals, your course is guaranteed real-world relevance and authenticity. This also gives you access to facilities like the leading research laboratory, The Daisy Building, based at Hull’s Castle Hill Hospital. Researchers in this progressive research centre, together with their project students, are developing technology to treat cancer, heart conditions and respiratory problems
