Taster Days
Everything you need to plan a successful school or college visit to the University of Hull.

Hands-on sessions, real insights, lasting impact
Want to help your students make informed choices about university?
Our free taster days give post-16 students the chance to visit our campus and experience university life first-hand.
They’ll take part in engaging activities, explore our beautiful single-site campus and state-of-the-art facilities, and chat with current students and lecturers. It’s also a chance to ask questions and discuss any concerns before applying to university.
Let our team guide you and your students around our campus and give them a real insight into what university is all about.

What to expect on a taster day
We understand how important it is for students to get a realistic experience of university life before they apply.
Led by our experienced Schools and Colleges Liaison team, these visits are tailored to suit your needs – whether you’re bringing a small group or a full year cohort. We offer both full- and part-day options.
Created by academics, our subject masterclasses offer students the chance to explore their interests before they choose their course.
We understand that students have different interests and needs, so we can also run alternative sessions alongside subject-specific ones – ensuring everyone gets the most out of the day.
