About this Taster Session
This is a friendly, writing-focused workshop designed to spark students' creativity. Through interactive activities, light gamification and guidance from published authors, students receive supportive help as they develop their own creative ideas. It's ideal for those studying the Creative Writing element of their A-Levels, as well as any arts or humanities students looking to build confidence in their creative skills.
Students are encouraged to explore topics they're passionate about as they imagine a new world, develop their own characters and craft an engaging opening scene. The workshop is designed so students can continue building on their writing after the session ends.
It can also be delivered as a series of sessions, helping students create a varied and meaningful creative portfolio over time. Teachers are welcome to help shape the focus of each workshop to meet the needs or interests of their learners.
