About this Taster Session
Michel Foucault's Discipline and Punish is a ground-breaking text in Criminology; it explores how and why we have transitioned from public displays of punishment to private detention. In this workshop we will brainstorm some of the key ideas that Foucault puts forward in order to make sense of our contemporary prison in social context.
