About this Taster Session

This interactive, digitally enhanced workshop introduces students to contemporary creative practice while helping them build confidence in using technology and artificial intelligence.

Students explore how AI works, examine the ethical questions it raises, and look closely at common creative clichés to think about what makes a story truly original. They will have the chance to use and critique AI-generated fiction, and then create their own writing in response, highlighting their individual creativity.

The workshop also looks at the difference between artificial intelligence and emotional intelligence, encouraging thoughtful, informed use of new technologies. If helpful, this session can be paired with optional teacher development workshops that explore practical approaches to teaching and assessment in an AI-enhanced classroom.
