Insurance applicants
If you’ve selected Hull as your insurance choice with UCAS, you can now register an expression of interest in our accommodation. This does not guarantee you a particular location or type of room.
Once you’ve accepted Hull as your firm choice, typically on ‘A’ levels results day, you’ll be sent an email advising you how to access our online service to apply for accommodation.
You’ll be asked to accept a residence contract to confirm your booking.
Clearing Process
If you have selected Hull through Clearing, you’ll be able to apply for accommodation once your offer has been confirmed and accepted, typically within two hours.
You’ll be sent an email advising you how to access our online service to apply for a room. We guarantee all students a room in university owned, partnered or directed accommodation if they apply by 1 October.

Once we have been informed of your application to the University we will send you an email inviting you to register for an account. Once this has been validated (which should take no longer than 48 hours), you will receive a confirmation email and be able to view and apply for your accommodation.

Money
Accommodation fees are paid in instalments in October, January and April, and coincide with student loan payments.
We take care of the fiddly bits, so you can concentrate on the important stuff – settling in and getting to lectures. Insurance, internet and utility bills are included in your rent with most properties, so there’s less for you to sort out. It makes budgeting easier, too.

If your preferred accommodation type is not available at time of application, you’ll be able to register one accommodation preference on a waiting list.
The waiting list will operate when the application process for first year applicants opens. Terms and conditions will apply.
Please note there is no guarantee that by registering on the waiting list you will be offered your preferred type of accommodation as a transfer to alternative accommodation from that previously offered is subject to vacancies arising across the accommodation portfolio.
