To celebrate the appointment of Rt Hon Alan Johnson (DUniv, 2018) as Chancellor of the University of Hull in July 2023, we launched the Chancellor’s Circle (formerly the Vice-Chancellor’s Circle).
This merit-based program offers 10 full-fee scholarships annually to UK students across all subjects, aiming to attract outstanding undergraduates and enhance Hull's appeal as a destination for future leaders.
Annual donations of over £1,000 grant membership to the Chancellor’s Circle. By joining, alumni, supporters and friends can transform potential into purpose. Circle champions leverage their networks to promote meaningful causes and inspire others to support our mission, enabling us to tackle pressing questions and prepare our students to make a difference.

Give As You Earn
If your employee operates a Payroll Giving Scheme, you can make tax efficient gifts to the University through your salary.
With Gift Aid, you can make your donation worth even more. For every pound you give, the University will receive an extra 25p through tax relief.
To make a gift tax effective, you must have paid an amount of UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax equal to or exceeding the amount of tax to be reclaimed in each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next).
