Welcome Week: 13-19 September
Can’t wait to start? Neither can we. There’s a lot to see and do in your first week, so it’s best to be prepared. We can help you with that – here’s everything you need to know from Results Day to your first lecture.

What happens when?
Don’t worry, you’ll be the first to know about what’s going on, where you need to be and when. Throughout late August, we’ll be sending you emails with all the nitty gritty details. So remember to keep a close eye on your inbox. In the meantime, we’ve put together a quick timeline of key dates for your first few weeks at Hull.
Results Day & eInduction
This is when you’ll know which university you’ve been accepted to study at, or when you’ll look to secure a place through Clearing. It’s also when our eInduction period starts.
Monday 1 September
You can now check your timetable. As long as you follow the steps on how to enrol/re-enrol as part of your eInduction, you'll be able to get a first look at your timetable for your first semester.
Saturday 13 September
The big one: moving-in day. The day you've been waiting for – when you move into the room you'll be calling home for the next year. Get a sneak peek of it here.
Sunday 14 - Saturday 20 September
Hull Freshers 2025 offers a diverse range of activities and events for all to welcome you to campus and help you settle into university life.
Monday 15 - Friday 19 September
Get to know your subject and meet your fellow students, personal supervisor and teaching staff. You’ll get your Academic Induction timetable in the weeks before Welcome Week.
Monday 22 September
Teaching starts – you'll have your first lectures and seminars. Student Start kicks off 3 weeks of events on careers, wellbeing, study skills, and transitioning to university.

Where new faces become old friends
Hull Freshers 2025 is your first chance to meet new people, try new things, discover new places, and make the most of your time at university.
Organised by Hull University Students’ Union (HUSU), it’s jam-packed with events for new and returning students. Think club nights, taster sessions, freebies, opportunities to explore Hull, and our one-day Freshers Fair complete with fun fair.
