Summary

I am a qualified ACP with a nursing background. I have experience in acute medicine and ITU but my experience is predominantly in general practice where I worked as a nurse practitioner before training as an ACP in 2014. My special interests are women's health and respiratory illness. I have been a non-medical prescriber since 2014.

I have always been involved with teaching during my nurse career including guest lecturing at HYMS and University of Hull. I have been full time lecturer at Hull University since 2022.

I teach on all aspects of the advanced practice MSC. I am module lead for the Quality Improvement Project and also for haematology and biochemical interpretation of bloods. I am the admission tutor for the Advanced Practice MSc.

I support community prescribing teaching and more recently I have been involved with the delivery of the Non-medical prescribing course. I have also been involved with teaching and supervision of ODP students including leading the module on post anaesthetic care.
