Summary

Joanne's nursing background is in cardiology, mainly coronary care, where she enjoyed teaching and mentoring students, newly-qualified staff and paramedics. That led to her undertaking a Certificate of Further Education, and in 2002 she became a lecturer practitioner at the University of Hull. Joanne joined the University as a full-time lecturer in adult nursing in 2005, subsequently becoming module leader for the post-registration modules, Resuscitation, Acute Cardiac Care and ECG. More recently, she has developed a keen interest in dementia.
