Powering a bright future for offshore wind energy

The University of Hull is working with offshore wind companies in the Humber Region and beyond to support the sustainable growth of the industry and society's move towards net zero.

Our academic expertise is driving innovation, and our teaching, from undergraduate through to postgraduate level, is helping to train the talent of the future.

Offshore wind farm construction

A regional powerhouse

The Humber Region already powers over 4.4 million UK homes from eight operational offshore wind farms.

In the next decade this could rise to over 14 million homes with the addition of seven new offshore wind farms

Our PhD researchers at the Aura Centre for Doctoral Training are tackling the engineering and environment challenges facing the offshore wind industry
