Summary
Thomas Lundmark became the first American law professor at a German university when he was appointed Chair in Common Law and Comparative Legal Theory at the University of Muenster.
He previously studied in San Diego (AB), Uppsala, Berkeley (Juris doctor), Freiburg, and Bonn (Dr. jur.), and practised and taught law in California before serving as a Fulbright Senior Professor in Germany for three years. He is a member of the State Bar of California and on the editorial staff of the journal Rechtstheorie.
Lundmark took emeritus status from Muenster to join the Law School at the University of Hull. He has written more than 100 publications including more than 10 books.
