Originally from Hull, Stuart studied computer game design at the University of Wolverhampton.

It was there he started his career in the games industry, working for prestigious companies, such as Rare and Codemasters, and working on three BAFTA award-winning games.

After working on augmented reality games for the PlayStation Vita, Stuart moved into teaching game design at FE colleges while completing his PGCE and developing his own games independently.

These included Time Stone, a point and click adventure game that won the 2013 AGS Award for Best Short Game, and Splodey Vaders, a mobile game available on Android.
