Kerry joined the University of Hull in 2003 and has more than 20 years of teaching experience.

She has also worked in a variety of different roles within the univesity in areas of business development and project management for national language projects.

After graduating, Kerry lived and worked in Barcelona for four years teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL).

She returned to the UK to study for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)and taught EFL and research methods-related modules at the University of Lincoln.



Research Interests

  • Kerry is currently studying for a PhD in the area of academic identities, with a focus on organisational behaviour and management within universities
  • How we use language to author / narrate our identities, both in the workplace and in our general interactions
  • Transactional analysis, looking at the pyschoanalytical aspects of behaviour and communication
