Collections and resources

Our expertise can help you, your business and your community.

Our Institute is a valuable resource for researchers and the public.

Our own research library holds printed and digitised materials focusing on global slavery issues and is freely available for researchers. To arrange access, please contact Beki Bloomfield.

Our exhibition programme reflects our diverse interests and features a global range of artists. Artworks displayed have been gifted or loaned to us and include collections by African and European artists, alongside items donated to the Wilberforce Lecture Trust by visiting dignitaries.

The Institute is symbolically located next door Wilberforce House museum, the birthplace of Wilberforce, and is a respected addition to the major research collections and exhibitions housed in Hull’s Museum Quarter.
