Professor Glenn Burgess, Acting Vice-Chancellor at the University, said:
"We are delighted to have achieved this impressive ranking. We know how important career prospects are to all our students and we are very proud of how well we prepare our graduates for the world of work.
"The University of Hull is proud of its excellent employability results. The proportion of graduates in work or further study six months after graduation is also ranked in the top 10 according to figures from the Higher Education Statistics Agency’**.
University of Hull Director of Careers and Employability Service, Norman Day, said:
"These rankings are a real achievement for us – particularly since we are already ranked in the top ten for employability for graduates six month after their graduation.
"The fact that our graduates also have great employment prospects five years after graduating – as this study shows – is testimony to the high importance we place on helping our graduates develop a remarkable skillset to complement their degree.
"The University helps all its graduates for as long as they need our support at the end of their course.
"We place a high value on providing a lifetime service to all our alumni, many of whom come back into the University to support the employability of our current students – which I believe is in turn reflected in our performance in employability rankings like these".
