Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship

Interested in an apprenticeship with us?

Our Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship enables apprentices to unlock their potential in the innovative and supportive learning environment of Hull University Business School.

The programme combines the best of higher education with vocational learning. Apprentices receive substantial on-the-job training to complement their learning in the classroom. They study under the international experts who have helped our courses earn AACSB accreditation which is held by less than 5% of the world’s business programmes.

On successfully completing the course, employees receive a Bachelor’s degree and eligibility to apply for Chartered Manager status from the Chartered Manager Institute (CMI). The programme content is structured and business-relevant, tailored to fit the needs of employers. It aims to develop best practice management which can result in a 23% increase in organisational performance and a 32% increase in people performance, according to the CMI.

Study

The programme is very flexible and has been designed specifically to support work-based learners, delivered through a mixture of block teaching on campus and negotiated work-based projects in the workplace.

You will receive a minimum of 20%* off the job training from your employer, which can be utilised however you see fit.

Each module is assessed by coursework (i.e. mini work-based project), which will ensure you are not only developing yourself but also delivering ‘Return
on Investment’ back to your business. To complete the programme, you will undertake an End Point Assessment (EPA), which comprises two elements:

• Conducting and presenting a major work-based project to an independent panel at the University of Hull and your Senior Leadership Team.
• You will be interviewed by an independent panel at
The University of Hull where you will showcase your portfolio of evidence, which is collated and maintained throughout your degree.

*This may be required to be above 20% depending on the planned hours of the programme and individual apprentice needs
