Unconditional Offer

Your 2022 offer under the Guaranteed Entry Programme is dependent upon you making the University of Hull as your firm or insurance choice either via UCAS or directly to the University. If you do not do this, you will not be eligible for an unconditional offer.

Your place may be subject to successful completion of further steps, such as provision of evidence of qualifications and, depending upon the course chosen, completion of a declaration regarding criminal convictions. Your place may also be subject to minimal GCSE requirements, an interview or a practical exam, dependent upon the course chosen. We will communicate such requirements with you.

In offering you this opportunity, we believe you are committed to your current studies and expect that you will complete all of the qualifications you have told us you are working towards. If you’re taking exams, your results won’t affect whether or not you get accepted. But, although your place won’t be dependent on your grades, taking your exams is important to prepare you for University and could impact your future employment.

Free membership to our on-site Sports & Fitness Centre and a £100 catering voucher

To be eligible for the offer, you must:

  • Have accepted a University of Hull unconditional offer, as set out in your offer letter, as your firm or insurance choice on UCAS.
  • Be enrolled to study at the University of Hull on an eligible undergraduate course (see above). If you are enrolled the University has confirmed your registration as a student onto your chosen programme.
  • Have confirmed your first-year student accommodation in University-owned premises and paid your deposit.

The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issuing and cannot be used for the purchase of alcohol. The voucher cannot be on-sold or exchanged for cash.

If the voucher is lost, misplaced or damaged, it cannot be replaced.

Membership of our on-site sports and fitness centre, Allam Sport Centre, is valid for 12 months only from the first day of Welcome Week in your first year of study (meaning for academic year 2022/23, membership starts on 19 September 2022 and expires on 18 September 2023).

If for any reason you are no longer living in University-owned accommodation within the first 12 months, we reserve the right to cancel both your £100 catering voucher and Allam Sport Centre membership.

Membership will be issued in your name only and cannot be used by any other persons. Membership cannot be on-sold. As a member of the Allam Sport Centre you must abide by the Terms and Conditions for Sports Centre Membership.

After you have met the eligibility requirements listed above, you can claim your voucher and membership by emailing GuaranteeMe@hull.ac.uk or calling 01482 466100.

Joining the Student Help Community

You will be sent an invitation by the University to join the digital Student Help Community. You are not obliged to join. If you do not receive your invitation, please contact GuaranteeMe@hull.ac.uk.

You do not need to be enrolled at the University of Hull to engage with the Student Help Community.

University of Hull students and alumni participating in the Student Help Community will endeavour, to the best of their abilities, to answer all questions and support the Community members.

A tailored campus tour

To be eligible for the offer, you must have met the requirements of your unconditional offer, and have confirmed acceptance of this offer. You do not need to be enrolled at the University of Hull.

You will be sent an invitation by the University inviting you to book your tour. Campus tours operate most weeks of the year.

Our small-group tours are led by a Student or Graduate Ambassador and have been designed to give you a safe way to explore our campus. Each tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. If you specify particular areas of interest, such as accommodation, we will endeavour to tailor your campus tour accordingly.

Friends/family/supporters are welcome to join you on this tour. The maximum capacity for each campus tour is 20, meaning that you will be with up to 19 other participants, and one Student or Graduate Ambassador. We are following social distancing guidelines and request all participants continue to wear a face covering while on site. Tours are not transferrable and have no monetary value.

The University may need to cancel your campus tour at short notice owing to changing circumstances on our campuses, or in response to national or local government travel restrictions. Should this occur, you will be notified by email as soon as possible, with an outline about how priority re-booking will be arranged. If you do not receive your invitation to book a tour, please contact GuaranteeMe@hull.ac.uk or call 01482 466100.
