You will become adept at formulating competitive global strategies and conducting effective research, as you come into contact with current issues and the latest research. You will explore topics including governance issues and the additional complexity arising from cross-border transactions. What you'll study You will develop key professional and research skills, as well as an understanding of ethical business practice. You will also undertake a final research project, which can be either a dissertation or a business-based project. Core modules International Business Context The module gives an overview of international business context in today's global economy. You'll cover themes including related globalisation and regionalisation, as well as firm internationalisation and institutional environments. The Region in International Business International Business Regulation The International Firm and Its Strategy Cross Cultural Management Cultural differences often create barriers to understanding and communication in international business environments. Explore a range of areas in international management including leadership, decision-making, work and motivation, and communicating and negotiating across cultures. The emphasis will be on how individuals, teams and organisations manage these cultural differences. Entry requirements The programme is designed for graduates from any discipline with a strong interest in the principles and practices of business. However, we do recommend that you have a basic knowledge and understanding of this area. You will have a minimum of a 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent, one academic reference and a good command of English. International students If you require a Tier 4 student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level.
