What you'll study
You undertake a variety of modules. These include a research module and a specialist module within your area of practice, which are offered as an online programme via eBridge. The final 60 credits for the MSc are gained by completing a dissertation.
You need only attend the University for the set workshops which are available to support each module, enabling students to fit their studies around work and life commitments.
The modules themselves are delivered using weekly tasks addressing the advanced issues around the subject of practice. This aims promote interaction within the student group using tutor and peer feedback to encourage productive discussion and interactive learning.
Research and Literature Review Methods
Practitioners in all health professional disciplines need to understand the principles of research, to know how knowledge is created and can be evaluated, and to apply the findings of research in the practice setting. You'll identify and critically evaluate research that informs important aspects of your practice.
You will make an original contribution to research by designing, carrying out and writing up your own project on a topic you choose, supported by your dissertation supervisor.
