About the course
The Maths Subject Knowledge Enhancement programme is aimed at graduates from any degree, who have been offered a place on an Initial Teacher Training programme. This intensive course has been designed to give you the knowledge to teach mathematics confidently to Key Stage 3 and 4 (pupils aged 11-16), and potentially beyond.
There are two options for the Maths Subject Knowledge Enhancement at Hull. The long SKE is an intensive 28-week course for graduates with minimum GCSE Mathematics (grade A*-B, or equivalent). The short SKE, taught in conjunction with the long SKE, is an intensive 20-week course for those who have minimum A Level Mathematics (or equivalent).
Tuition is fully funded by the National College for Teaching and Learning, and you’ll receive a bursary (if eligible) to help with living costs for the full 20 or 28 weeks.
