What you'll study

Enquiry and research are important aspects of health care practice, regardless of speciality. The critical nature of the module makes it ideal for any inter-professional, evidence-based healthcare worker.

This module is designed to develop and consolidate skills in evidence-based practice and engages the student in critical thinking, enquiry and analysis, including research and critical appraisal skills. The module is available as either a blended module (47439) or as an online distance-learning module (47668). The design and delivery of the module embraces inter-professional learning and welcomes applications from all health and social care professionals.

This module is delivered on Thursdays on campus (6 all day sessions).

Entry requirements

If studied as a standalone module there are no entry requirements but study at Level 5 would be advantageous other than relevant clinical experience. If studied as part of a BSc programme/Grad Dip Programme, candidates will have to meet the entry criteria of the programme (HE Diploma in Nursing/Operating Department Practice/Paramedic Science or similar professional qualification, or the equivalent number of CAT points).
