Faculty of Health Sciences The Policy Environment Continuing Professional Development Individual module Level of study Please select a level How to apply What you'll study Within primary, community and social care, the context of care delivery is shaped by the policies implemented at national and local levels. For Assistant Practitioners to operate effectively within care systems, an understanding of that policy context is crucial. The aims of the module are to introduce students to social policy theory, to equip the students with skills to search and interpret contemporary policies, and to understand how policy impacts upon their day to day practice.
