What you'll study

The module aims to provide you with the opportunity to examine the theories that underpin approaches to learning, facilitation, teaching, and assessment and evaluation in work-based settings. This will enable you to apply these in practice and effectively fulfill your role as a supervisor or mentor in professional practice.

The module also enables practical application and will develop your skills in supervising, mentoring and supporting learning in practice. You'll spend approximately three hours per week engaged in applying the taught material in the workplace.

You'll be supported by a practice supervisor, who will be an experience practitioner/member of staff and an academic supervisor within the University of Hull. The practice supervisor will facilities exposure in supervising, mentoring and supporting learners in the workplace and will indicate your successful completion or otherwise of the learning outcomes.
