What you'll study

This module is based on adult learning principles which allow the student to manage their own learning needs through supported negotiation of a learning contract and self-directed study. The module is sufficiently flexible to allow students to identify and address any health or well-being issue within the workplace or domestic health or social care situation which merits investigation.

The module provides an opportunity for the student to identify an issue related to their experience in health or social care which is of personal or professional interest, and draw on a range of evidence and information in order to propose a response to that issue. The student will work closely with an academic supervisor throughout the project. This module is very popular with students as it encourages personal development, professional knowledge and understanding of the identified issue, development of research and academic writing skills, and confidence in their academic ability.
